Two Bay-area escort websites have been linked to the kidnapping of a teenage girl in San Francisco, authorities said Monday.
Authorities said the 15-year-old was in San Mateo County and was in the company of a 17-year old man who was not identified.
Authorities are not releasing her name.
The San Francisco Examiner reported Monday that the teenage girl is a senior at San Francisco State University.
She has been staying with her family for a month, the newspaper reported.
The teen is a student at San Mateos Polytechnic Institute.
Her father, John Thomas, told the newspaper that his daughter has a history of domestic violence.
She is in a custody battle with her father, who has also been arrested in connection with the kidnapping, the Examiner reported.
Thomas told the Examiner that he is devastated by the news.
“I’m still grieving over the whole thing,” he said.
She’s one of my best friends, and she’s one that I have been really close with.
She would never do anything like that to anybody.”
A second suspect has been identified as an 18-year veteran of the San Francisco Police Department, according to the Examiner.
He was identified by authorities as James Anthony Dominguez, a 27-year SFPD veteran.
The Daily News of Santa Rosa, California, reported that Domingquez had been released from a psychiatric facility on Saturday after spending time in a San Francisco County jail.
Dominguez was also charged with the abduction of another San Francisco woman in February.
The woman, a 16-year former student at UCSD, was found by authorities at a house in San Jose, California.
The woman’s mother told investigators that Dementez was with her in the house when he allegedly abducted her.
The two were identified by police as the same person.
Dementez had also been charged with aggravated battery and unlawful restraint in San Diego County.
