The Indianapolis Escorts Association posted a statement on Twitter Monday about the alleged incident.
In a statement to Fox 31, the association said that the alleged victim reported the incident to the association’s director of media relations, and the incident has been referred to the police department.
According to the statement, the alleged offender is a male who is a former escort and was arrested for a misdemeanor in January.
The Indianapolis Escort Association said in the statement that it is working with law enforcement to investigate.
In addition to the arrest, the statement says that the incident happened at the Indios, a downtown Indianapolis nightclub.
According a statement from the Indiana State Police, an arrest warrant was issued on Friday and the accused has been booked into the Marion County Jail on a felony count of indecent exposure.
The warrant says that a woman in her early 20s reported to the bar that she had been sexually assaulted by a male escort.
The statement said that an investigation is underway and that the woman has been released from jail.
