The Teen Mom stars Amber and Chelsea have been together since 2010.
But they’ve been embroiled in an argument, which led to a domestic violence charge against one of them, and their relationship is now in the spotlight again.
Amber was arrested for a domestic abuse charge and charged with felony domestic violence, which carries a possible sentence of up to two years in prison.
“The charges against Chelsea were dismissed in a court of law, so they are not eligible for parole,” her attorney told TMZ.
“Chelsea has served her time and she’s released, so there’s no parole or other options for her.”
When the pair were arrested, Chelsea was in jail for two days after allegedly hitting her husband in the face with a bottle.
“It’s an emotional time for both of them,” her lawyer, Chris Miller, said of the charges.
“She’s a very strong person and she wants to keep going.
She wants to get her life back together.”
Chelsea was originally charged with a felony, but the judge denied her request for a plea deal and sent her to jail instead.
Chelsea said she was being held without bail because she was going through the process of becoming a legal emancipated minor.
“I’m doing what I can to keep myself together, and I feel like I’m doing that in a very safe environment,” she said in a statement.
“But I am not being taken to jail.
I have been working very hard to get out of jail and I will continue to do so.”
They also shared their stories of their arrests and jail time.
“There are so many issues going on in our lives, and the most important is my family and my son,” Amber said.
“My daughter and I have to make choices.
I want to take care of him, I want him to stay safe and I want my son to go to school.
I know my husband’s safety is my greatest concern and I don’t want to go through the whole process of this again.”
